With the pups up on Ralph's ranch

We try to get the doggies out for some exercixe now and again. We've been taking them on the county road that runs through Ralph Lauren's ranch. It's wode open and they can run and run. On the morning of the 11th there was fresh snow in the mountains. That late afternoon I took these photos of the dogs and the Sneffles Range.

ATV ride up to Owl Creek Pass

Lene is in Denmark, Christian is with friends in Telluride. I already put in half a day at work and took the dogs for a walk above the Double RL. So I decided to take off on a solo ATV ride up to Owl Creek Pass - about 20 minutes from our home.

At the beginning of the ATV trail you get a great view of Chimney Rock and Courthouse. But you never know what you're going to find on the trail.

Looks like this elk didn't make it through the winter.

The road was officially closed due to snow and downed trees. I tried to ride over this one but ended up having to go under it.

Well this is the end of the road - at least it's as far as I could go today.

Ridgway Party

There were supposed to be two dozen hot air balloons this past weekend in Ridgway, but the weather was too windy. We did get to see a Bluegrass band on the green - at sunset with the light hitting the Cimarrons in the background.

Holy Schlomoley - Even More Snow

Tuesday, May 13 brought this to our door. Maybe more on Thursday.

LAST DAY OF SKIING - APRIL 3, 2008

I was able to get a couple of hours on the slopes just a few days before the resort closed.

The photo above is looking down Cat's Paw. You can see the Town of Telluride in the background. The photo below is looking up after successfully shooshing down Cat's Paw!
